A self professed country girl, living in the wide open spaces of Santa Clarita, CA, Jennifer has a loving and awesome family and a very recent addition of a grandbaby who has her wrapped around his little finger.
How long have you worked at Fortuitas and what has kept you with the company for as long as you’ve been here?
I have been working at Fortuitas for 6 years. I've stayed this long because I enjoy the everyday challenges that come my way and the appreciation of working with a productive and successful team.
Operations Manager sounds like a pretty important title. For those of us who don’t know, what does that entail? What does your typical day look like? What are your favorite things about your job?
The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of an organization and ultimately has an understanding of a business’s overall goals and objectives. My actual duties vary based on the needs of Fortuitas. A typical day for me would include but not limited to, interfacing with my teammates, clients, vendors and CEO. The following are a few of my daily tasks:
- - Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
- - Bank Deposits/Bank Reconciliation
- - Invoicing, Time Tracking
- - Travel Arrangements
- - Bookkeeping
My favorite thing about my job at Fortuitas is having the opportunity to work with like minded people that have the same goals and objectives!
As someone who helps manage the day to day aspects of a digital agency, what advice can you give to new companies seeking agency assistance?
The most important advice I could give to a business seeking assistance from an agency would be, to find an agency that is focused on making sure their projects are on time and resources are utilized in an effective way so that you achieve the things you want to achieve. Organization is a skill that is crucial to the success of any business.
When you aren’t elbows deep managing the day-to-day at Fortuitas, what are you most likely to be doing outside of work?
I love the outdoors, so definitely with my family lounging on the beach, boating or in the yard with my dogs gardening.
